Go Cubs Go!

Chicago has been a blast. We've been staying with Jamie who has been an incredible hostess, showing us around the city and providing comfortable lodging.
Cool city--we got deep dish pizza last night and went out to a blues bar. We also saw a movie being filmed in the Lincoln Park area (Public Enemies--Johnny Depp, Christian Bale apparently?).
Got a little sleep last night and woke up this morning to pouring rain, so it didn't look good for the Cubbies game (predicted thunderstorms with "large hail and damaging winds"). Luckily it held off and turned into a nice day letting us see one of the greatest baseball games I've ever seen. The Rockies rolled early, going up 8-0 and 9-1 in the 6th (at which point I texted Jake to let him know about the ongoing beatdown). HOWEVER, in the bottom of the 6th the Cubs came roaring back scoring 9 unanswered and won the game 10-9. Unbelievable comeback... A Cub reliever struck out three straight batters in the 8th on 10 pitches--all looking. And Mark DeRosa's two-run game-winning shot in the 7th was on a 3-2 pitch with everyone on their feet. Unreal.
Wrigley is beautiful--the best park I've ever been to and some great fans--sweeeeet atmosphere.
We went to a couple bars afterwards since everyone around was in a good mood and had some fun. Drew talked a bit to a HOTT (his voice) girlie sitting at the table next to us, but unfortunately we decided not to go to the batting cages she was headed to.
Brierley had to leave to catch her flight :( and we grabbed some thai food and headed back to Jamie's where we are watching Wednesday's Real World and about to get to bed (Will just had a crazy crazy outburst by the way...totally unexpected).
We go to Madison, WI tomorrow to see Mr. Colin Harari. We're going to see the Brewers-Astros game tomorrow night (3rd game in 4 days, not too shabby).
Celtics beat the Pistons to make the NBA Finals tonight. So they got that goin' for them.
We'll blog more tomorrow on the drive from the Chi to the WI. The Real World just ended. Bedtime.

kisses,
Eli
